Do you feel the need to be going all the time, if you are not working? Do you believe you are wasting time if you are not doing something? You may feel taking time for yourself is a waste, but it is very important.
Taking “me” time can help you avoid irritability and help you to control your emotions. The lack of “me” time can cause you to build up resentments that can harm both you and your relationships.
Everyone needs a little time to recharge your batteries. Taking this “me” time can be as simple as pausing for a prayer, reading a book or just listening to quiet music.
Taking a little time for yourself refreshes and re-energizes you. It allows you to think more clearly and make better decisions. It also builds your self-esteem over time, as you come to realize that you are important and deserve to have a little time for yourself. “Try it, you might like it.”
