On July 20th, employees who have worked at The Sarah community as of June 30, 2017 for 5, 10 and 15 years were celebrated at an evening banquet in gratitude for their service and accomplishment. The following passage about work really speaks to me and I hope it will to you too. It is a blessing prayer, that is beautiful, yes ideal, but if we take it to heart, imaging The Divine one saying it to us each day, would it change our experience of our work and how we do it? What if each of us could seek the Divine guidance and hold the hope for this to become our reality in all that we do, be we employed, retired, church member, family member, a neighbor helping another? I think we would find more joy and satisfaction in our work and so I share it with you. The source is Anam Cara by John O’Donohue, p. 160.
“May the light of your soul guide you.
May the light of your soul bless the work you do with the secret love and warmth of your heart.
May you see in what you do, the beauty of your own soul.
May the sacredness of your work bring healing, light, and renewal to those who work with you and to those who see and receive your work.”
May each of us experience the Divine touching our heart through our work. ~Sr. Elaine
